Why we speak about automatic trading?

Because after many years of experiences about trading system and efforts to improve them, we decided to entry in the market and make available our work.

No more just overnight trading system on italian stocks and future, funds and ETF. Finally we can offer powerfull trading system completely automated.

What’s the automatic system?

The automatic system is the last technologic frontier about trading. In Italy this system is not enough used because the available platforms don’t support it or do it in a primitive way. I think that in Italy there aren’t platforms which offers solutions like the foreign countries. Please correct me if I did a mistake.

To have platforms for automatic trading we must choose between two offers: Strategy Runner which is the progenitor of the idea and Tradestation which is the first world actor of trading, now automatic trading.

The idea about this new trading step is taking the old idea of trading systems which are usually good on paper but not so good when they are applied and then is removing the element which make them good on the paper to not good.

This element is the manual activity of trader, which often choose to improve the workability by hand, in spite of it has spent time and money to making new rules to be followed, or it is involved in psicologic situation which make useless months of work. Often the cosequence of the application is not what we expect so the trader leaves.

Also the technical side of trading system is improved. Even if the trader trust in his trading system, there are technical times to pass from the making order to his dispatch. This caused a proliferation of system costs (slippage).

The automation of this procedure permits that the machine does all that the trader normally does: from waiting for a new position to the making and despatch of the order.This procedure goes from some seconds to some millisecond when we speak about automatic workability.

To whom it may concern?

To everybody. To the trader who has every kind of target and capital. All instruments are applied on the trading system: from the futures to the forex , from commodities to indices.

The costs and the requested margin will depend on the instruments you will choose to use. In any case you will notice the differences between the operating in Italy and operating abroad.

On which instruments we could work?

There are no limits about instruments on which we could work in a automatic way. If you are thinking about a particular instrument, you are sure you will find it!

About Strategy Runner you can do trading on all futures of all world market and all currency. This is very good news!

Tradestation is for american market. It doesn’t include the italian stock. From their point of view this choice isn’t wrong because thei market and eurex are the most secure marker to work.

Strategy Runner permits to do trading also on FTSEMib and miniFTSEMib, so also Italians are covered. In any case it is easy to understand why Tradestation has decide to exclude us: if you spend a day to look the exchanges of the future like eurostoxx and compare to ours, you will understand that we are so little and so uninteresting!

What about costs?

There are 2 different type of costs: platform costs and system costs.The firs one are for who offers the service. He pay the platform rental and here he will offer the system which you have chosen. This cost is from 75$ to 100$ monthy.

It’s not so easy calculating the monthly cost because for every execution cost you must include a little piece of monthy rate. For example: an operation with a contract miniFTSEMib costs 8$ round turn while it is lower for USA future like E-Mini Nasdaq and E-Mini S&P. From this 8$ you must deduct 1$ for platform costs.So, in the end of the month, with the payment of workability costs you will also covered the platform rental costs. This is just an example but the importance is understading.
